Hello everyone,
It has been a terribly long time since I have blogged. I have been going back and forth regarding whether or not I should continue blogging. Obviously, time has been a big issue. My little girl is all-consuming, which is of course, the way it should be, but I've also felt a little bit private over the past few months, I wasn't sure I wanted to share, so I have been quiet.
I kept thinking about it, and never getting around to blogging, until my good friend Rae Lynne over at Drip, Drip, Drop nominated the blog for the Leibster Award. Of course, I want to say thank you to Rae Lynne for the nomination, but she also gave me a bit of a boost, and as a result I think I will put more effort into blogging during the coming months.
I am a researcher in my job, and in my life. I feel like I have a lot of knowledge (both book knowledge and now experience in raising Sylvie) that I can share. In particular, we are not taking the easy route with raising Sylvie. I've mentioned before that we are doing things like cloth diapering, babywearing and breastfeeding, but we're also doing things like not letting Sylvie "cry it out", and skipping pureed foods and going right to finger foods (AKA baby led solids). There isn't always a lot information out there on this stuff. I think it could be valuable to share my experiences with the path less taken.
Please forgive me if you have gotten in touch with me and I haven't gotten back to you. I'm going to try to get back to some people this week, but it might be worth re-contacting me via the contact button on the right sidebar.
I will also hand out a Leibster Award to a few of my favourite small-blogs, but I'd like to take some time to think about who I'd like to nominate. Hopefully I can introduce you to a few great new blogs you've never heard of in the process.
Thanks for sticking with me!

I'm glad to help motivate! :) But I also understand how it's easy to feel the need for some privacy. I'm happy to read whatever you have, whenever you have the time to post about it. I look forward to reading more about your parenting style and advice and information you can share with us all! :)
