A Monster Update

I've slowly been working on my Mystery Monster.  I work on him in between other projects, as I seem to have a lot to get done lately.  Last night I finished my Oops... Another Penguin Hat so I allowed myself an hour to work on Monster.  I don't want to give away his identity quite yet but here is a sneak peak...

Last night I finished a leg and an arm, so hopefully I can finish him up over the weekend.

Saturday Sweets

Okay, I caved and bought 5 of Rebecca Danger's Monster Patterns.  In addition to those deals I blogged about yesterday, she also has a deal where you can buy 5 monster patterns for $20.  I couldn't resist.

I chose patterns for (clockwise):
Maddox The Mischievous Monster
Holly, Ivy and Steve Three Christmas Hooligan Ornaments
Sammie the Sock Monster
Penelope the Empathetic Monster
Daphne and Delilah the Momma and Baby Monster (in center).

I used Poladroid to make the designers photos into cute polaroid images.  This is a great free program that I just found.  You can save the polaroid at various stages of development giving it that old polaroid look!

I'm dying for some help choosing which monster I knit first.  Leave your preference in the comments.  If I get enough comments, I'll knit the monster you want to see!

I ♥ Monsters

Okay.  Seriously.  I have been wanting to make Daphne and Delilah for a very long time.

Today I met Holly, Ivy and Steve.  It was love at first sight.  I love all their Christmas glam.

Then I visited Rebecca's Etsy page, and there were 9 of her cutie-pie monsters, all in one PDF (this PDF also includes Holly, Ivy and Steve, just released yesterday).  Swoon.

But it gets better...Rebecca also sells a PDF of all 19 patterns she's ever written... Monsters, dogs, bunnies, bears, cats, wow!

I really want that 9 pack, well, okay, I want the 19 pack too, but I'd settle for the 9 pack.

You should definitely check out Rebbeca's Website, etsy shop, Ravelry Pattern Page, and project page.  There are also a tonne of great projects out there based on Rebecca's patterns.  I love seeing all the colour combinations people come up with.

Oh ya, and there's a book coming, due out in January.

I'm pretty certain that one can never get enough Monsters.

There you have it, I ♥ Monsters.
