Update on my Simple Modern Baby Quilt

I have been working on my Simple Modern Baby Quilt for quite a while but it is finally starting to come together into something beautiful.

All the squares are pieced...

All the pieces have been trimmed and sewn together into strips...

All the strips of pieces have been merged into one...

I am really enjoying the pattern.  I love that it includes trimming your pieced squares so that they are all the same size post sewing.  My seams never end up being exactly 1/4 inch and my cutting is rarely perfect for all those strips.  This is one easy step that makes all those minor issues disappear so your quilt can become something truly beautiful!

I still need to find fabric for the back, as well as fabric for the trim.  I will be making my own bias tape for trim which will definitely be an adventure.

Here is a photo of Penny 'helping' with the photoshoot.

In case you're a new reader to the blog, I am using the Oh, Fransson! Simple Modern Baby Quilt Pattern.

  1. That looks great! And your corners line up so nicely! :) Good luck finding just the right trim & backing. :)
