During week 20 we found out we are having a baby girl! Of course, I shared that news with the blog right away but I didn't have a chance to share my new belly photos since we took them a little later in the week than we usually do, on the day of the big ultrasound.
The most important part of the ultrasound was not actually finding out the gender, it was making sure that the baby is healthy and happy and fully formed. The technician spent a long time photographing and measuring the baby to make sure growth is going along as it should and spent more time looking at all the babies organs - brain, heart, liver, etc. to make sure they all looked normal too. Everything looked great and I left a happy mama!
I do think that finding out the gender of your baby is one of the best things ever. I cannot think of another instant in our lives that is such a surprise and something you have absolutely no control over. I was very surprised we are having a girl, but I have definitely warmed up to the idea and now I can't wait. I will have someone to do crafts with and to teach to knit!
To celebrate our baby girl, I crafted a tiny pink bow for a photograph.

cute little bow. You're still very slim. Just like me, I only put on 10kg during my pregancy - and I was 52kg when heaviest.
