I have been working hard on my sewing challenge and wanted to share a few photos of some finished projects.
On day 2 I wasn't feeling like doing much. I just didn't want to get very involved in anything. I went back to some baby wipes I cut out a long time ago and never got around to sewing.
In no time at all I had finished 12 more wipes!
These ones have terry cloth on the back and are so soft and squishy. They are also very cute. I'm going to love using these!
I still have a lot more fabric already cut, so more of these will definitely get finished during this challenge.
Thursday I had some extra time so I started the only new project I want to work on during this challenge.
We are going away at the end of the month and I will have lots of time to knit. I want a nice case that will hold all my KnitPicks Interchangable needles and any notions that I might need. I want it all in one place!
This doesn't look like much yet, but I swear I worked on it forever yesterday....
Only the top pocket is sewn in right now, the rest are just lying on top. There is my ugly KnitPicks case in the background.
I am using this pattern and tweaking in a lot.
Here is a close up of the first needle pocket:
Obviously, the numbered pockets are what took the most time. I wanted my needles to be all in one place and easily organized and understandable too. My machine sews letters and numbers, but they needed a lot of tidying up and I did a lot of handsewing to fix them up.
Finally, what is that I'm wearing?
I know this is a horrible photo, but I thought I would include it just because it is another project I finished this week:
I have a brand new skirt! I'll get DH to take proper photos later.
Glad to see you are using my tutorial successfully, I like how you have marked the needle sizes on yours, looks great!
