Can I have a drumroll please....

I have really struggled with the perfect way to make this announcement.  It is, afterall, what this blog is all about!  That said, the time has come where I just need to share, dispite the fact that my current state has not left me in the mood for blogging.

Pregnancy is a funny thing.  You never know how it is going to hit you.

I haven't had morning sickness or nausea.  I have had cravings and food aversions.

I have lost my sewing mojo, and I'm only now regaining my knitting mojo.  For anyone who knows me, I never miss knitting at some point during the day.  I do it every day.  The baby has seemed to have other things in mind for me though!

I am truly, madly, deeply thrilled to share that I am pregnant and expecting a baby around July 16, 2011.

Our future will be filled with these...

Lots of these...

and hopefully, many more of these.... (smiles I mean)

This is the first photo we took after getting my positive HPT (home pregnancy test).  I could share a photo of the test with you too, but I think I'll pass unless I get a lot of requests.  And yes, we are standing in the bathroom.

I have been blogging the background our experience with TTC (trying to conceive) and keeping a weekly pregnancy journal as well.

I hope that soon I will be in the blogging state of mind again (the second trimester is just around the corner, I'm almost in week 10 right now).

Please be patient and check back when you can.  I'll be back again soon, I promise.

  1. So excited to see this announcement (though I had already seen your posts on ravelry - I'm due in April so I read some of the same boards). Congratulations!!!

I did almost no knitting or sewing during T1 at all - I mostly was lying on the couch or bed! Now that I'm firmly in T2, I'm feeling much better and more productive!

  2. Congratulations! How very exciting!
With my first I lost my reading mojo. I would read books like crazy and then suddenly it was so hard to do. I've since got it back so hang in there!
